AT&T has a process for releasing phones from Sunrise Ranch billing. This may require paying the remaining installment charges on the phone itself as well as unlocking it.


The number to call is:  The main customer service # for AT&T is 1866-288-7629

  • You must be an authorized billing admin
  • You'll need the last four digits of acct. number
  • You'll need the phone numbers attached to the phone you wish to release
Once you have been validated as an agent of Emissaries by the customer service rep they will initiate the purchases (if necessary) and prepare the line for unlocking.

Next you access the URL: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/
  1. You will need the wireless number
  2. Provide the authorized person name (admin)
  3. Enter billing account name Emissaries
  4. Last 4 digits
  5. An email address for the unlocking notification to be sent
  6. The IMEI number (once entered it will display the phone make/model - double check this)
After submitting this information a confirmation number in the form of CUL############ will appear, copy this down for reference.

The process may take up to 72 hours and then an email confirmation with an unlock code will be sent to the email address you entered at deviceunlock site.  At that point the individual may take their phone to another carrier porting the original sunrise ranch number with them.

There is a similar process for porting a phone number out of the ranch to a carrier other than AT&T
  1. Need account admin to provide the billing account number
  2. Name of account is Emissaries
  3. Authorized person is currently Michael Terpening (yes, Atom)
  4.  Phone number to port
  5. Person who had the number before(at Ranch) and Person who is getting number now (same usually)
